Borden Waste-Away Hosts Zero Waste Events
Zero waste events are possible through Borden Waste-Away as yet another way to meet the waste and recycling needs of the community.
ELKHART, IN (July 22, 2019) --- As a response to a growing desire in northern Indiana and southern Michigan, Borden Waste-Away Service, Inc. is now offering Zero Waste services for special events. This Zero Waste service is available to both public and private events and Borden Waste-Away will be making its debut and the 2019 EnviroFest in Elkhart this August.
The concept of “zero waste” focusing on making use of more eco-friendly materials – like choosing compostable food service utensils over plastic – and offering composting and recycling options in addition to trash collection. This echoes a growing trend of festivals and events across the nation making a concerted effort to reduce the amount of waste they produce.
“Zero waste supports sustainability by diverting waste from our landfills and we are proud to provide this service to the Michiana area,” says Logan Miller, Sustainability Coordinator at Borden Waste-Away Service. “Borden is committed to providing as many outlets as possible for customers to find alternative ways to dispose of their materials and protect our environment.”
